5th Grade Dreams

Since 2018, I have been documenting the adult lives of my fifth-grade classmates. As children, we were labeled as “academically gifted” students, and we were relocated to a program designed to elevate the school district’s academic standing. Over the years, I’ve used point-and-shoot film cameras to capture my classmates living their everyday lives in varying contexts.

Edible Trip to Innerspace

These still life images were created while I was getting sober and white-knuckling my sanity in my 500-square-foot apartment in downtown Los Angeles during the global pandemic. This later work appeared at the Singapore International Photography Festival in 2021, and has been included in my self-published tarot deck, Subconscious Signals.
